Life sometimes has a trick or two up its sleeve, just when you think your on a roll and on the up you get a test ,it’s the way you deal with it that important and here’s why.
I recently moved into a new house with my beautiful partner Sheree, in the rolling foot hills of the vale of Clwyd. We had been in about two weeks, when life brought me down to earth with a bump, literally a loft ladder I was climbing collapsed and I fell to the ground breaking my wrist. Now being a self employed builder is hard enough, but to break the wrist you hold the trowel with was slightly worrying to say the least.
Anyway, along came two friends of mine who have lovely gifts in clear seeing (clairvoyance )and they duly informed me “you know one of the reasons you’ve had that accident is don’t you ” and went on to explain that my life was a constant rush with little time for myself and that I had ignored what my body and mind was telling me, so in a way had been party to the accident .
The other reason was that I sometimes felt resentfully of doing what others wanted of me and not looking after my own needs. We must remember to take time out and be strong enough sometimes to do what makes us feel good and not sacrifice our integrity to please others.Another lesson I hadn’t taken on board was looking after money and saving a bit for a rainy day,now the universe karma, call it what you will had given me a wake up call, stopped me in my tracks, now I had to listen.
In the old days I would have done what most people might do,blame the person who fixed the faulty ladder. But I have learnt on the spiritual path to “own your own shit”so to speak in other words take responsibility for your stuff and if we are honest with our selves then we can gain a better understanding of the why me syndrome and say why not me and what’s the lesson I can learn from this.
